Cyber Risk Defense Principal

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Cyber Risk Defense Principal with expertise in Splunk development to manage and enhance cyber threat detection and compliance efforts through advanced machine learning solutions, while working remotely from authorized states.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive the execution of multiple work streams by developing procedures, translating business strategies into actionable requirements, and guiding performance
• Lead proactive monitoring and response to emerging threats, while effectively communicating findings to non-technical audiences
• Serve as a subject matter expert in data analysis to support security event management and coordinate responses to critical cyber security incidents

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in IT or a related field, including at least four (4) years in information security or network engineering
• Minimum four (4) years in an informal leadership role working with project or technical teams
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and algorithms, particularly in the context of cyber security
• Experience with building and maintaining anomaly detection models on Unix-based systems using Python
