Cyber Risk Defense Principal

Job Summary

To enhance the Cyber Risk Defense program, the full-time remote Cyber Risk Defense Principal will manage the development of advanced machine learning solutions on the Splunk Enterprise platform, focusing on cyber threat detection, privacy, and compliance across clinical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Drives execution of multiple work streams by developing procedures, gaining cross-functional support, and translating business strategy into actionable requirements
• Leads proactive monitoring and response to cyber threats, while effectively communicating investigative findings to non-technical audiences
• Serves as a subject matter expert in complex data analyses to support security event management processes and coordinates responses to critical cyber security incidents

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in IT or a related field, including at least four (4) years in information security or network engineering
• Minimum four (4) years in an informal leadership role working with project or technical teams
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and algorithms, particularly in anomaly detection
• Experience with Unix-based systems and Python development
