Cyber Risk Defense Principal

Job Summary

Driving the execution of multiple work streams, the full-time Cyber Risk Defense Principal will manage the development of advanced machine learning solutions on the Splunk platform to enhance cyber threat detection and compliance, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the proactive monitoring and response to cyber threats, ensuring the integrity and reliability of data and systems
• Facilitate communication and collaboration between technical teams and executive leadership to address security challenges and improve processes
• Conduct complex data analyses and root cause investigations to support security event management processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in IT or a related field, including four (4) years in information security or network engineering
• Experience in an informal leadership role working with project or technical teams for at least four (4) years
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and algorithms, particularly in a cyber security context
• Knowledge of clinical systems and workflows related to cyber security practices
