Cyber Risk Defense Principal

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Cyber Risk Defense Principal, the successful candidate will manage and direct the maintenance of data security, develop advanced machine learning solutions on the Splunk platform, and enhance cyber threat detection and compliance in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive execution of multiple work streams by identifying operational needs and translating business strategies into actionable requirements
• Lead proactive monitoring and response initiatives to emerging threats against the network while communicating findings to non-technical audiences
• Serve as a subject matter expert in data analysis for security event management and coordinate responses to high-impact cyber security incidents

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in IT or a related field, including at least four (4) years in information security or network engineering
• Experience in an informal leadership role working with project or technical teams for a minimum of four (4) years
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and building anomaly detection models
• Knowledge of clinical systems and workflows
