Cyber Risk Defense Principal

Job Summary

To enhance Cyber Security initiatives, the full-time salaried Cyber Risk Defense Principal will develop advanced machine learning solutions on the Splunk Enterprise platform, manage security data integrity, and lead proactive threat monitoring efforts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Drives execution of multiple work streams by identifying operational needs and translating business strategy into actionable requirements
• Leads team in monitoring and responding to cyber threats, communicating findings effectively to non-technical audiences
• Serves as a subject matter expert in data analysis for security event management and coordinates responses to high-impact cyber incidents

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in IT or a related field, including at least four (4) years in information security or network engineering
• Experience in an informal leadership role working with project or technical teams for a minimum of four (4) years
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and developing anomaly detection models
• Knowledge of clinical systems and workflows relevant to cyber security
