Cyber Risk Defense Principal

Job Summary

To enhance cyber threat detection and compliance, the full-time Cyber Risk Defense Principal will develop advanced machine learning solutions on the Splunk Enterprise platform while managing security data integrity and leading cross-functional teams remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the execution of multiple work streams by developing new procedures, translating business strategy into actionable requirements, and guiding performance
• Lead proactive monitoring and response to emerging threats, effectively communicating findings to non-technical audiences
• Serve as a subject matter expert in complex data analyses to support security event management processes and coordinate responses to critical cyber security incidents

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in IT or a related field, including at least four (4) years in information security or network engineering
• Minimum four (4) years in an informal leadership role working with project or technical teams
• Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and Python development
• Knowledge of clinical systems and workflows
