Job Summary
To enhance cyber threat detection and compliance, the full-time Cyber Risk Defense Principal will develop advanced machine learning solutions on the Splunk platform, manage security data integrity, and lead proactive threat monitoring efforts while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Drives execution of multiple work streams by developing procedures, translating business strategy into actionable requirements, and guiding performance
- Leads team in monitoring and responding to emerging threats, providing consultation to Cyber Risk Defense Center teams, and facilitating remediation efforts
- Serves as a subject matter expert in complex data analyses, coordinating responses to critical cyber security incidents and influencing strategic direction for threat detection capabilities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Social Science, Mathematics, or related field
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in IT or a related field, including at least four (4) years in information security or network engineering
- Minimum four (4) years in an informal leadership role working with project or technical teams
- Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks and algorithms such as Random Forest and XGBoost
- Experience developing and maintaining anomaly detection models on Unix-based systems using Python
