Cyber Security Analyst

Job Summary

Serving as the primary escalation point for security alerts and incidents, the remote Cyber Security Analyst will analyze, contain, and remediate security events while collaborating with IT and business teams to enhance security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and triage alerts from various security tools, investigating escalated alerts and performing threat hunting
• Lead incident response for medium-to-high severity incidents, conducting root cause analysis and coordinating threat containment efforts
• Tune and maintain security tools, develop custom detection rules, and manage the lifecycle of vulnerability management

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and network security tools
• Strong understanding of threat actors and incident response best practices
• Ability to analyze logs and system behavior to detect malicious activity
• Industry certifications such as Security+, CySA+, GCIH, or GCIA are preferred
