Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Cyber Security Analyst will focus on incident detection, investigation, and response, while also tuning detection rules and developing automation solutions to enhance security operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze alerts from SIEM/SOAR platforms, investigating security incidents and executing containment procedures
- Continuously refine detection rules and SOC processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce false positives
- Proactively hunt for hidden threats and explore emerging attack techniques to strengthen the organization's security posture
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms and familiarity with EDR solutions like CrowdStrike or Microsoft Defender
- Understanding of common log sources for monitoring and investigation, such as Firewall and Azure AD
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Security, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automating security tasks is preferred
