Cyber Security Automation Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance the organization's detection and response capabilities, the full-time Cyber Detection & Response Automation Engineer will design and implement automation workflows, integrate security tools, and apply AI-driven techniques while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain orchestration workflows and SOAR playbooks for automated security responses
• Develop Python-based integrations and APIs to unify security tool workflows and enhance automation
• Own SIEM administration tasks, including data onboarding and configuration management, to support detection automation

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in automation, orchestration, or SOAR playbooks within a cybersecurity or SOC environment
• 3+ years of SIEM engineering or administration experience, including correlation rule development
• Strong Python skills with experience in building APIs and integrations across security tools
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML tooling applied to security use cases
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and experience mapping detections to adversary tactics
