Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Mid-Level Systems Admin/Cyber Security Engineer will manage day-to-day operations and support of enterprise IT and cybersecurity infrastructure, focusing on Linux and Windows administration, vulnerability remediation, and maintaining cybersecurity applications.

Key responsibilities

• Support maintenance of IT and IT Security tools and systems
• Deploy and maintain systems in collaboration with the Advanced Cyber Initiatives team
• Monitor daily ticket queues and respond to audit and enterprise hardening requests

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role
• 5+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with a focus on enterprise best practices
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and vulnerability remediation
• Basic scripting skills in Ansible, Python, Bash, or PowerShell
