Cyber Security Engineer

Job Summary

Providing security engineering and compliance support for cloud-based systems, the remote Cyber Security Engineer will focus on NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, and DoD IL4-6 requirements while advising partners and customers on security requirements and managing authorization and audit readiness activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity engineering and compliance support for FedRAMP and DoD-authorized cloud environments
• Develop and maintain authorization documentation and support system authorization activities across FedRAMP/RMF
• Leverage GRC platforms and automation to streamline compliance workflows and improve accuracy of authorization artifacts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Five or more years of cybersecurity experience, including three years supporting federal cloud security engineering
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, and DoD IL4-6 compliance frameworks
• Experience developing and maintaining SSPs, POA&Ms, and other authorization artifacts
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments, including security monitoring and configuration management
