Job Summary
Providing security engineering and compliance support for cloud-based systems, the remote Cyber Security Engineer will focus on NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, and DoD IL4-6 requirements while advising partners on security strategies and improving compliance efficiency through automation and GRC platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Provide cybersecurity engineering and compliance support for FedRAMP and DoD-authorized cloud environments
- Develop and maintain authorization documentation, including SSPs, SAPs, and POA&Ms
- Collaborate with cloud engineering and DevOps teams to implement and validate security controls across various cloud environments
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Five or more years of cybersecurity experience, including at least three years in federal cloud security engineering
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5, FedRAMP, and DoD IL4-6 compliance frameworks
- Experience developing and maintaining authorization artifacts such as SSPs and POA&Ms
- U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher security clearance
