Cyber Security Lead

Job Summary

Providing strategic leadership for cybersecurity initiatives, the full-time Cyber Security Lead will oversee daily security operations, compliance, risk management, and team performance in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary cybersecurity liaison for internal leadership and external stakeholders while defining and executing the cybersecurity strategy
• Lead daily operations of the cybersecurity team, managing workload distribution and team performance to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements and conduct security assessments to identify and mitigate organizational risk

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including leadership responsibilities
• Demonstrated experience implementing cybersecurity programs aligned with NIST, FISMA, and ATO requirements
• Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Security +
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders, presenting cyber status and recommendations
