Cyber Security Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting night shift operations for a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC), the contract Cyber Security Specialist will monitor, analyze, investigate, and respond to threats in hybrid cloud and on-premise environments while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced EDR analysis, including alert triage and threat detection using tools like Trellix
• Utilize Splunk for alert analysis and ServiceNow for case management while conducting initial incident response for various threats
• Collaborate with engineering and system administrators to contain and remediate threats, supporting compliance efforts

Required qualifications

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in cyber security
• Experience with SIEM (e.g., Splunk) and EDR tools (e.g., Trellix)
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and basic digital forensics
• Solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems and log analysis
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
