Cyber Security Specialist

Job Summary

To support the organization's Application Security program, the full-time Cyber Security Specialist will work remotely to secure global applications, APIs, and AI-enabled solutions by identifying and mitigating security risks throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security platforms to investigate and prioritize risks, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations in applications and APIs
• Notify teams of identified risks and track remediation efforts while developing dashboards and reports to communicate security progress
• Partner with development teams to enhance application and API security posture and integrate security controls into development workflows

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Management Systems, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in an application security role
• Strong understanding of secure development practices and common application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, CWE)
• Hands-on experience with application and API security testing tools such as GitHub Advanced Security, Checkmarx, and Burp Suite
• Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and modern application architectures
