Cyber Systems Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a borderless organization of over 20 professionals, the full-time Cyber Systems Engineering Manager will oversee cybersecurity engineering performance for US Defense business areas, focusing on talent development, organizational optimization, and the implementation of model-based engineering practices in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop critical cybersecurity and engineering skills to meet business objectives
• Attract and retain high-potential employees while resolving staffing issues and developing team capabilities
• Establish goals and performance standards, and develop strategic roadmaps for organizational improvement

Required qualifications

• Strong understanding and deep experience with Systems Engineering processes and techniques
• Robust understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and its application in engineering teams
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including strategic thinking and team building
• Experience with strategy development and execution
• CISSP certification (or equivalent) with an expectation of obtaining ISSEP within 6 months of hire
