Cyber Threat Research Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Cyber Threat Research Manager, this remote-eligible position will manage the analysis and emulation of cyber threats, leveraging systems thinking and engineering techniques to protect Capital One's customers and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

• Create mechanisms to identify and highlight cyber threats across various activities
• Maintain expertise in the current cyber threat landscape and attack vectors
• Synthesize data from multiple sources to inform threat narratives and detections

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
• At least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity or information technology
• At least 4 years of experience in incident response, threat hunting, or threat intelligence
• At least 3 years of experience investigating cyber-enabled fraud or advanced persistent threats
• At least 2 years of programming or scripting experience (Python, Perl, PHP, PowerShell)
