Cyber Threat Researcher

Job Summary

To produce actionable cyber threat intelligence, the full-time remote Threat Researcher will develop and exploit various access sources, analyze malicious cyber activities, and disseminate intelligence to customers and the public.

Key responsibilities

• Hypothesis-driven hunting through first-party data to identify and analyze new malicious cyber activities
• Cluster, track, attribute, and disrupt malicious cyber threats
• Develop and integrate new intelligence sources and tools to enhance threat analysis

Required qualifications

• Deep understanding of computer networking fundamentals and protocols
• Technical ability to analyze network traffic at both macro and packet levels
• Experience with offensive tooling and exploitation methodologies against network edge devices
• Familiarity with open and commercial source intelligence research
• Experience producing and tuning detection rules, such as Suricata or YARA
