Cyber Threat Researcher

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the remote Cyber Threat Researcher will track and research financially-motivated cyber threat actors in the criminal underground while collaborating on intelligence collection and special research projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify knowledge gaps and develop intelligence leads to meet customer requirements
• Monitor various sources, including underground forums and marketplaces, to understand cyber threat actors' motivations and tactics
• Communicate research findings and assessments clearly in reporting

Required qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of the cyber threat landscape, including risks, actors, and tools
• Previous professional experience in monitoring and researching the cybercrime underground
• Strong understanding of operational security (OPSEC) and persona development
• Hands-on experience with virtual human intelligence (vHUMINT) collection methods
• Proficiency in English and at least one additional language (Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, or French)
