Cybersecurity A&A Subject Matter Expert

Job Summary

Seeking a remote contract Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Subject Matter Expert, the role will manage the full lifecycle of cybersecurity authorization activities, ensuring compliance with DoD and NIST requirements while evaluating vulnerabilities and briefing senior leadership on risk posture.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the cybersecurity SME for all A&A activities, ensuring compliance with DoD and NIST requirements
• Perform RMF activities, including control assessment, documentation review, and risk analysis for systems undergoing authorization
• Conduct comprehensive authorization reviews and brief senior leadership on RMF progress, findings, and risks

Required qualifications

• Active Secret clearance
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant RMF and NIST A&A experience
• DoD cybersecurity experience supporting enterprise-level systems
• Experience assessing security controls and conducting authorization reviews for large organizations
• Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies and procedures
