Job Summary
Providing support to the Department of Health and Human Services, the full-time Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization Analyst will execute security certifications and assist in developing compliance programs, working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct annual security controls effectiveness testing and document findings while advising on remediation efforts
- Perform information security audits and risk assessments, documenting results per NIST guidelines
- Assist system owners in developing security authorization packages compliant with NIST standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Preferred certifications include CAP, CISSP, CISM, CISA, or Security+
- In-depth knowledge of NIST SP 800 series and FedRAMP guidance
- Experience with federal regulations such as FISMA, HIPAA, and OMB mandates
- Strong understanding of security-related processes and risk management best practices
