Job Summary
Joining a dynamic Cyber Analysis and Response team, the full-time Cybersecurity Analyst will manage the detection, triage, and investigation of security events while promoting continuous improvement in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity events and incidents impacting the network or endpoints
- Document evidence and actions taken during incident response, and write incident reports for stakeholders
- Participate in training exercises and promote the advancement of the Cyber Operations Center's capabilities
Required qualifications
- Completion of an apprenticeship, collegiate-level cybersecurity certification program, or four years of relevant work experience
- Security certifications from recognized vendors (e.g., SANS, ISC2, ISACA, CompTIA, EC Council) may substitute for up to one year of experience
- Ability to demonstrate a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement in cybersecurity
- Willingness to work on-site one day a week if located within a 50-mile radius of NDIT offices in Bismarck or Fargo
- Clear demonstration of meeting location requirements in application materials
