Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Cybersecurity Analyst, the successful candidate will monitor and investigate security activities, respond to threats, support incident response and vulnerability management, and enhance the cybersecurity posture of Maine's public universities.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across various enterprise security platforms
- Triage and investigate cybersecurity alerts and suspected incidents, including phishing and unauthorized access
- Support incident response activities and vulnerability management through analysis and coordination with IT teams
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Five years of experience in information technology or cybersecurity operations
- Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity analysis using relevant technologies
- Knowledge of cybersecurity operations practices, including incident response and threat detection
- Working knowledge of networking, operating systems, and cloud environments as they relate to cybersecurity
