Cybersecurity Assessment Engineer

Job Summary

To support a dynamic team, the full-time salaried Cybersecurity Assessment Engineer will oversee software vulnerability scanning processes, conduct security assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of cloud infrastructure and applications to ensure compliance with security standards
• Review vulnerability scan results and provide actionable remediation guidance to development teams
• Collaborate with the Principal Security Engineer and other teams to assist with incident response plans and maintain security documentation

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity or related fields
• Intermediate knowledge of DevSecOps tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficient understanding of NIST SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-53 security controls
• Secret Level Clearance or ability to obtain it
• Ability to attain DOD 8570 Baseline Certification for IAT II within 6 months of hire date
