Job Summary
Serving as the primary contractor lead, the full-time hybrid Assessment Lead will manage the planning, coordination, and execution of Security Control Assessments to ensure compliance with cybersecurity requirements for the Department of State's Directorate of Technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee Security Control Assessments across assigned information systems and environments
- Lead the development and execution of Security Assessment Plans (SAPs), ensuring compliance with NIST standards and federal requirements
- Provide technical direction and oversight to assessment personnel, ensuring the independence and quality of assessment activities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity, or a related field with 8+ years of experience in security control assessments
- Demonstrated experience with NIST SP 800-53A assessment procedures and other relevant NIST publications
- Active CISSP, CISA, or equivalent certification, along with CEH or equivalent penetration testing certification
- Current Secret clearance is required
- Experience working with the Department of State is preferred
