Cybersecurity Cloud Expert

Job Summary

To ensure secure architecture and design of cloud-hosted IT systems meeting DOD requirements, the remote Cybersecurity Cloud Subject Matter Expert will review cloud security policies, provide recommendations for improvement, and guide cybersecurity vulnerability assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Review and enhance cloud security policies to improve security posture and compliance with DOD requirements
• Apply knowledge of cloud security engineering and threats to support program deployment
• Provide guidance during cybersecurity vulnerability assessments related to cloud environments

Required qualifications

• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience securing and architecting complex IT systems
• At least five (5) years of experience in cloud environments (e.g., OCI, AWS, Azure)
• Experience leading or contributing to cloud security assessments, audits, or compliance reviews
• Extensive knowledge of cloud security best practices and frameworks (e.g., CIS Controls, NIST Cybersecurity Framework)
• Possession of a DOD SECRET Clearance and eligibility for an IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 5 (T5)
