Cybersecurity Detection Lead

Job Summary

To enhance cybersecurity operations, the full-time salaried Cybersecurity Detection Lead will build and manage a detection and response function, focusing on incident response, threat hunting, and maturing capabilities across AWS and enterprise environments, while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct incident response for escalated alerts, including investigation and containment across cloud and endpoint environments
• Perform threat hunting to identify malicious activity and develop internal methodologies based on attacker behavior
• Serve as the technical escalation point for security incidents and coordinate cross-functional responses during investigations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent work experience
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat detection
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex investigations in cloud environments
• Experience building or shaping a detection and response program
• Strong familiarity with attacker TTPs and practical experience with digital forensics fundamentals
