Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer for a remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate and provide consultative support on system security certification & accreditation and Authority to Operate (ATO) for the Department of Veterans Affairs
• Implement cybersecurity requirements for IT systems, perform security analysis, and assess security risks
• Conduct security compliance evaluations, analyze security evaluation tools results, and assess security configuration guidelines

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of Information Security Experience, with at least 3 years in Cybersecurity and Cloud Security at a large Government agency
• Technical knowledge of Network and Software Development, experience in creating security-specific documentation, and familiarity with NIST security controls
• Experience in supporting system Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, utilizing eMASS tool, and IT and Cloud design
• Ability to obtain a government clearance and relevant certifications such as ISC2 CISSP, CompTIA Security+, etc
