Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

To support a dynamic team, the full-time Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will own the operational health of engineering domains, lead cross-team initiatives, and design control patterns while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the operational health of one or two engineering domains, ensuring they are measurably healthy and improving
• Lead cross-team initiatives that span Security, IT, Identity, and Cloud Operations, ensuring controlled rollouts and tool migrations are executed without breaking production
• Design new control patterns and reference architectures, producing decision records and standards for team execution and audit readiness

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years in security engineering with hands-on experience in implementing controls across identity, network, cloud, endpoint, and/or monitoring
• Strong fundamentals in IAM, network segmentation, encryption/key management, and centralized logging/monitoring
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP) in a security-engineering capacity
• Ability to produce clear architecture documentation, runbooks, and decision records that withstand audit and peer review
• Experience mentoring less senior engineers and ensuring quality output for engineering domains
