Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Cybersecurity Engineer to work remotely, responsible for managing small-to-medium engineering projects, implementing security controls, and developing expertise in specific control domains while collaborating with senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Project ownership: Manage engineering projects end-to-end, from scoping and design to deployment and documentation
• Control implementation: Configure and operate security controls across various domains such as identity, cloud, and vulnerability management
• Domain depth: Develop expertise in at least one control domain and mentor Associate engineers in their day-to-day tasks

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years in security engineering, cloud engineering, or security operations with hands-on experience implementing controls
• Strong fundamentals in areas like identity and access management, vulnerability management, or cloud security
• Experience with a major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP) in an engineering role
• Ability to execute vulnerability and patch workflows effectively
• Proficient in writing operational documentation, including runbooks and change records
