Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Cybersecurity Engineer to work remotely, who will lead vulnerability assessments, ensure security compliance, and integrate best practices within software development teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct security assessments and hardening activities for various systems and environments using established security frameworks
- Implement and maintain compliance baselines through automation tools and methodologies
- Perform vulnerability management activities, including identification, analysis, and remediation tracking of vulnerabilities
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity assessments and compliance activities within regulated environments
- Hands-on experience with DISA STIGs, SCAP content, and security operations
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for automation and reporting
- Strong knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, and related cybersecurity frameworks
