Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for the security of software applications and IT systems, the full-time remote Cybersecurity Engineer will assess and mitigate vulnerabilities, collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices, and educate personnel on security threats.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting application and cloud security assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities
• Collaborate with security and development teams to integrate security testing into the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Support incident response activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of security tools and resources

Required qualifications

• 2 - 4 years of experience in application security with knowledge of AWS
• Hands-on experience in designing secure infrastructure solutions for AWS and on-prem applications
• Understanding of security testing tools, including Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• Experience in application security automation and integrating security into CI/CD processes
