Job Summary
Focusing on vulnerability and patch management primarily in Microsoft Azure, the full-time Cybersecurity Engineer - Remote will manage cloud servers, workloads, and endpoints while ensuring secure configurations and up-to-date systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the vulnerability and patch management process in Azure, utilizing tools to identify, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities
- Support patching and configuration hardening for cloud servers and endpoints, coordinating with IT teams to minimize risk
- Assist with basic security operations support, including ticket triage and incident response as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience in a security, systems, or cloud engineering role with responsibility for patching and vulnerability remediation
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure VMs and Azure Update Management
- Practical experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable Nessus or equivalent
- Strong understanding of operating system patching and basic configuration hardening concepts
