Job Summary
Focusing on Azure vulnerability and patch management, the full-time Cybersecurity Engineer - US Licensed will manage cloud server security, coordinate patch cycles, and support security operations while working remotely from select US states.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the vulnerability and patch management process in Azure, utilizing tools to identify, validate, and remediate vulnerabilities
- Support patching and configuration hardening for cloud servers and endpoints, ensuring alignment with Azure patching schedules
- Coordinate with IT and DevOps teams for planning patch windows, maintaining documentation, and producing reports on vulnerabilities and patch compliance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience in a security, systems, or cloud engineering role with responsibility for patching and vulnerability remediation
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure VMs, Azure Update Management, and Defender for Cloud
- Familiarity with at least one vulnerability scanning tool, such as Tenable Nessus or Qualys
- Strong understanding of operating system patching and basic configuration hardening concepts
