Cybersecurity Penetration Tester

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Systems Engineer I, Cybersecurity Penetration Tester.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing basic penetration tests and red team engagements under supervision
• Learn to identify, exploit, and document vulnerabilities while analyzing testing results and contributing to reports
• Collaborate with development, IT, and security teams while receiving mentoring from senior penetration testers

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• One or more years of experience in cybersecurity or a related technical field is preferred
• Foundational knowledge of networking concepts, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and web technologies
• Basic familiarity with security and testing tools such as Nmap, Burp Suite, or Kali Linux
• Interest in scripting or automation, with exposure to languages such as Python preferred
