Cybersecurity Project Manager

Job Summary

Managing cybersecurity initiatives, the full-time Technical Project Manager will provide leadership and direction for project staff, oversee financial services programs, and ensure compliance with VA's governance model while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day management guidance and direction to project personnel in executing tasks defined in the PWS
• Proactively monitor the performance of programs and program-related projects, ensuring timely and quality service
• Manage project risks, prepare weekly resource utilization reports, and deliver contractual outputs such as dashboards and status reports

Required qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience required, with 5 years leading programs using Large-Scale Scrum (LeSS) and SAFe
• Experience managing program management tasks within the VA, with knowledge of VA's VIP management process
• Deep understanding of scaled agile development methodologies (SAFe) and relevant technologies
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master, and relevant cybersecurity credentials (CISSP, CISM, etc.) are preferred
