Job Summary
Supporting a federal government client, the part-time Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert will provide senior-level technical expertise in evaluating innovative technologies, assessing cybersecurity architectures, and identifying security risks while working remotely with occasional in-person meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a cybersecurity subject matter expert for technical evaluations of research and development efforts
- Assess cybersecurity architectures and evaluate risks across proposed solutions
- Prepare technical assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to support evaluation activities
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related technical discipline
- Experience performing cybersecurity assessments and technical evaluations
- Strong knowledge of federal cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST RMF and NIST SP 800-53
- Experience evaluating security considerations for cloud, software, or emerging technologies
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or higher clearance
