Job Summary

Serving as a cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes, the fully remote Cybersecurity Assessment & Authorization SME will support DLA's Information Operations by assessing and authorizing information systems and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts A&A processes for information systems, applying NIST 800-53 security controls to assess compliance within DLA's IT infrastructure
  • Determines severity values for identified vulnerabilities and assesses potential impacts on system authorization
  • Briefs senior management on the status and outcomes of information systems undergoing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
Required Qualifications:
  • Five (5) years of relevant Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST Assess & Analyze (A&A) experience
  • DoD cybersecurity experience with a focus on assessing security controls for large organizations
  • Experience in supporting the DoD authorization process, including cybersecurity policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity in emerging technology areas such as Cloud and Industrial Control Systems (ICSs)
  • Must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3) at the time of proposal submission
