Cybersecurity Vulnerability Analyst

Job Summary

To enhance cybersecurity measures, the full-time Cybersecurity Vulnerability Analyst will conduct internal and external vulnerability assessments, manage vulnerability scanning programs, and collaborate with technology teams to remediate vulnerabilities in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance vulnerability scanning strategies for comprehensive coverage across the enterprise environment
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and validate scan results while prioritizing vulnerabilities based on severity and business risk
• Communicate risk exposure and remediation efforts to senior leadership, providing regular updates and recommendations

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum of five years of Information Security experience, with at least three years focused on vulnerability management
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, GCTI, or CompTIA Security+ preferred
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and vulnerability management processes
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms like Nessus or Qualys
