Cytogenetics Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cytogenetics Analyst to focus on Oncology Cytogenetics in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex technical procedures according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures
• Analyze chromosomes, including imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens, and report accurate test results
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment and software to ensure proper functionality

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience or a Bachelor's in Cytogenetic/MLS degree
• Experience in Oncology Cytogenetics is highly preferred
• ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG) is highly preferred
• Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen
