Cytogenetics Analyst

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Cytogenetics Analyst to join their remote team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of chromosomes, including imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens
• Report accurate and timely test results to ensure quality patient care
• Review test requisitions and summarize test results using ISCN nomenclature

Required Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory testing experience
• Experience with karyotyping and constitutional cytogenetics analysis is required
• Previous experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads is highly preferred
• ASI software experience and ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG) are highly preferred
