Cytogenetics Analyst (FISH)

Job Summary

Cytogenetics Analyst (FISH), a part-time remote position focusing on the analysis of FISH cases, performing routine and complex laboratory procedures while ensuring quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine procedures including tissue culture, FISH processing, and automated karyotyping
• Determine specimen acceptability and report accurate test results
• Monitor instrumentation and perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience in cytogenetics/FISH
• Understanding of laboratory operations and policies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test
