Cytogenetics Technologist

Job Summary

Seeking a remote Cytogenetics Technologist, the full-time position will perform chromosome analysis and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens, utilizing Applied Spectral Imaging software and Metasystems Neon.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform analysis of chromosomes, including imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens
• Review test requisitions and summarize test results using ISCN nomenclature
• Distinguish between normal and abnormal test results and document corrective actions as needed

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
• 3 years of experience in a Cytogenetics clinical laboratory
• 2 years of experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images
• 2 years of experience in Oncology cytogenetics
