Job Summary
To support daily laboratory operations remotely, the full-time Cytogenetics Technologist - CT will perform high-quality FISH analysis, conduct technical reviews, and coordinate workflow while ensuring excellence in quality and turnaround time.
Key responsibilities
- Perform routine procedures including tissue culture, FISH processing, and automated karyotyping
- Determine specimen acceptability and report accurate test results in a timely manner
- Monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, ensuring proper functionality
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology
- Certification by the National Credentialing Agency (NCA) in Cytogenetics (CLSp-CG) preferred
- At least 3 months of clinical laboratory testing experience in cytogenetics/FISH
- Understanding of laboratory operations and departmental Standard Operating Procedures
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
