D1 Athlete Youth Mentor

Job Summary

Working remotely, the part-time D1 Athlete Youth Mentor will provide one-on-one academic guidance and sports mentorship to student-athletes over video, utilizing their Division I athletic experience to support students in both their academic and athletic pursuits.

Key responsibilities

• Guide students through their academic day by maintaining focus and helping them progress through their learning
• Mentor student-athletes on training habits, competition mindset, and balancing academics with athletics
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff, providing updates on student performance and needs

Required qualifications

• Division I athletic background in any sport
• Experience working with young people in coaching, tutoring, or similar roles
• Ability to build trust and provide constructive feedback to young athletes
• Strong communication skills for one-on-one video sessions and written updates
• Reliable and organized with a suitable remote work setup, including reliable internet
