Job Summary
Working remotely within the United States, the limited-term Data Analyst will support the design and implementation of epidemiological research and data collection efforts focused on drowning prevention, analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data to report on the burden and circumstances of drowning in Alaska.
Key responsibilities
- Supports the planning and implementation of studies related to drowning data collection and analysis
- Provides data and statistics for descriptive and interpretive analysis on fatal and nonfatal drowning incidents
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to enhance drowning prevention strategies and data collection methods
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Statistics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a related field
- At least three years of experience in analyzing public health data or one year with a Master's degree
- Intermediate skills in statistical analysis using R
- Strong understanding of research methods and statistical techniques
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
