Data Analyst

Job Summary

To support Buildkite's growth, the full-time remote Data Analyst will work with cross-functional teams to turn data into actionable insights, focusing on metrics, dashboards, and product experimentation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with product managers to define metrics and success criteria for customer engagement and new features
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports to provide visibility into product health and user behavior
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and design A/B tests to inform product strategy and identify trends in data

Required qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in a data analyst or product analyst role, preferably in a SaaS environment
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to write complex queries across large datasets
• Experience with BI or visualization tools such as Metabase, Looker, or Tableau
• Solid understanding of product analytics concepts, including funnels, retention, and engagement metrics
• Familiarity with experimentation methodology, including statistical significance and experiment design
