Data Analyst

Job Summary

Focusing on identifying and reporting abuse patterns, the full-time remote Data Analyst will analyze telemetry and usage data related to GitHub Copilot, collaborating with various teams to enhance detection and enforcement strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Detect and investigate abuse patterns through analysis of telemetry, usage logs, and account signals
• Build analyses and tooling to support Trust & Safety decisions, including dashboards and reports
• Synthesize complex analyses into actionable insights for stakeholders through presentations and written reports

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data science, or business intelligence, or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 3+ years of experience
• Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, or comparable data analytics tools
• Experience analyzing abuse or fraud signals on large-scale online platforms
• Familiarity with common abuse patterns on developer platforms
• Experience collaborating with Trust & Safety or legal teams on sensitive investigations
