Data Analyst II
Job Summary
Supporting the Medical Product Safety Branch, the remote Data Analyst II will develop analytic plans, perform data analysis using R and/or Python, and provide consultation on public health programs and studies.
Key responsibilities
- Develop analytic plans for research studies using large administrative datasets to address medication safety questions
- Perform data analysis and translate SAS code to R while attending relevant training sessions
- Participate in CDC response activities and provide consultation support on program standards and evaluation plans
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, or related field
- 1 - 2 years of experience in public health data analysis and data management
- Professional working knowledge of R and/or Python
- Experience with data management systems and statistical functions
- Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance
